Yup, it’s been a while since my last post. What can I say? Time just flies too fast.
Anyhow, I’m now into the middle of my Wildflower training, and I’ve got my first Century Ride this weekend! Woo hoo! 100 miles of riding..and I might be crazy and turn it into a small brick. I NEED to see how it feels to run after 100 miles.
Speaking of running, looks like I had my first scare/injury of training. During a hopeful 10k workout, I ended up feeling some crazy right knee pains into the 2nd mile. Only 2 miles! GRRRHH! It was the kind where my body was definitely telling me to stop. I do not want to jeopardize my training because I am determined to do this race!
Well, I scheduled a Dr. Appt right away, and luckily for me there was no sign of damage. The doc thinks it’s patellar tendinitis which is something he thinks a PT (that’s Physical Therapist not a Personal Trainer) can fix. I’m hoping I can be healed soon so that I can start to push more mileage on the run. Wildflower is just a 2 months away!
